Position: Shift Security Supervisor
Site: North York General Hospital Finch
Hours: Continental 12-hour Rotation (0700-1900/1900-0700)
Pay Rate: $21.85/hr
Overtime Eligibility: Averaging Agreement after 88 Hours

Key responsibilities:
- Provides leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training.
- Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift.
- Ensures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and site-specific security policies and procedures.
- Plans and implements shift work schedules.
- Ensures all Security Guards have received the mandatory training.
- Motivates staff and issues commendations.
- Disciplines staff when necessary and ensures proper documentation is passed onto head office.
- Performs security audits.
- Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints.
- Provide proactive and reactive security patrols.
- Communicates any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager.
Prerequisites:
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
- Covid Vaccine two doses
- Proof of up to date immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step Tuberculosis skin test
- Valid G class Driver's License
- Must be willing to complete N95 Mask fit testing during the training
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare supervisory experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure.
- Proven ability to train, direct, and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
