Service New Brunswick is seeking an individual to join the Laundry and Linen Services branch within the Health Services Division as a Business Development Coordinator.

Reporting to the Director of Business Development - Laundry & Linen, the Business Development Coordinator is responsible for delivering positive customer experiences by representing, promoting, and building SNB Laundry & Linen Services in hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Accountable to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, which will include on-site customer visits to support linen management at hospitals, nursing homes, etc.
  • Operate as the communication conduit between customers and SNB Laundry & Linen Services.
  • Act as an ambassador to project a positive public image of SNB and Laundry & Linen Services.
  • Attend customer meetings as a subject matter expert, with the ability to provide valuable recommendations and/or creative solutions to customer's laundry and linen needs.
  • Identify new business opportunities, then evaluate the potential for success and operational compatibility.
  • Communicate new products and/or opportunities with customers, adding value to customer partnerships and strengthening the SNB customer value proposition.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to customers using LinenMaster software.
  • Educate and train customers on the benefits of proper linen management and usage reduction strategies.
  • Perform regular data analysis for customers and share meaningful insights or trends with respect to their laundry and linen needs.
  • Negotiate on behalf of SNB to bring swift resolution to customer invoice inquiries, disputes, or non-payment.
  • Enhance the customer experience by managing customer needs while receiving, processing, and resolving concerns/complaints.
  • Monitor Laundry Operations' inventory/supplies considering customer demand, taking proactive actions to mitigate supply interruptions or shortages.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One (1) Year Post Secondary diploma in a related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience
  • A solid ability to use office technology, software and applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Written and spoken competence in English and French is required

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or work experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Proficient knowledge and experience in the use of LinenMaster software
  • Knowledge or experience in a healthcare environment, clinical, nursing, or environmental services
  • Knowledge or experience in Industrial Laundry Operations

Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid driver's license is required to manage assigned territory
  • Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.
