Salary Range: $42,176.04 to 47,189.29 annually

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Administrative Services, you will provide a full range of administrative support services to the Manager, Administrative Services. Duties will include but are not limited to cashiering, accounts receivable (A/R) for student receivables, answering incoming calls, providing support to students and assisting with their inquiries, and general office support to campus administration. You may also provide support to ancillary business and/or campus operations when required (including but not limited to bookstore, campus/college events, space rentals/bookings, accounts payable functions, facility operations, etc.).

Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Administrative Professional/Office Administration. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10+) years of administrative experience.

  • You have a minimum of two years (full-time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in a fast-paced office environment.

  • Experience with accounts receivable and collections of overdue accounts.

  • Ability to reconcile cash and use point-of-sale systems for debit transactions.

  • Experience working with accounts payables would be considered an asset.

  • Occupational experience that includes basic front desk duties would be considered an asset.

  • Experience managing student financials would be considered an asset.

  • Experience as a cashier or relevant finance experience would be considered an asset.

  • Strong demonstrated computer literacy skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Teams, with a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Experience with SharePoint and PeopleSoft, or a similar ERP system, would be considered an asset.

  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.

  • Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset.

  • Specific technical/occupational knowledge and skill in data entry and managing financials in a large ERP system (Peoplesoft preferred).

  • You are a strong communicator.

  • You are committed to lifelong learning.
