Dispatcher /Shipping Supervisor
Barrett Lumber is a leading building supply dealer and roof trusses manufacturer in Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the Building Materials Manager, the Dispatcher/Shipping Supervisor is responsible for building the loads, coordinating shipping for both Purchases and Sales, and working closely with trucking, customers, production and warehouse staff. The fleet consists of flatbeds, box trucks and
boom trucks.

Responsibilities:

• Build shipping loads daily for local delivery as per customer needs
• Manage the flow of goods in and out of the yard
• Maintain and manage the inventory control system
• Provide exceptional customer service to both external customers and internal team members
• Provide supervision for three delivery drivers

The successful candidate will have:
• Experience in load building, dispatching and shipping/receiving
• Proven Supervisory and Customer Service competencies
• Strong organizational skills
• Good written and oral communication abilities
• Experience using Inventory Control, POS software
• Exceptional team and leadership orientation
