Position: Full-Time Security Guard

Site: VFS Global - 415 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON M5S 3B4 Unit 801

Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours OR ESA

Hours: Monday to Friday (0830 - 1700)

Payrate: $18.60/hour

Job Description:

  • Enforce the regulations of VFS Global
  • Patrol property consistently on a proactive & reactive basis
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies
  • Complete reports as required by the site and Paladin
  • Wayfind and assist students, visitors, and staff whenever possible
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks & duties
  • Other tasks as assigned

Prerequisites:

  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
  • English (oral and written) fluency is a must
  • French (oral and written) fluency is considered an asset
  • Previous experience in security, by-law, and ;parking enforcement - considered an asset
  • Must be able to commute for pre-deployment training (3 of 5 training days)
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Please be aware:
The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a prerequisite: however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
