Job Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager of Brand and Philanthropy leads the marketing, communications and fund development activities of the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick. The Manager develops organization-wide communications and fund development strategies and implements and evaluates the outcomes in accordance with the philosophy, policies, and strategic plans of the Alzheimer Society. This is a temporary role to provide coverage during a parental leave. The anticipated duration is approximately 14 months with potential for extension or other opportunities within the organization following the term.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Work in partnership with the leadership team to develop and execute on operational plans that support the overarching strategic priorities of the organization.
- With the support of the Brand & Philanthropy team, develop goals and KPI's for the team that align and support the strategic and operational plan of the ASNB.
- Lead the development of the annual budget for the Brand and Philanthropy Team and manage the budget, including regular status reports to the leadership team.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and all team members to ensure person-centred approaches to all activities of the ASNB.
- Report current or anticipated risks to communications or fund development plans that may have an impact on the organization
- In partnership with the LT, provides support and direction in the development and implementation of organizational advocacy priorities.
- Acts as a spokesperson and ambassador for ASNB as required, including media liaison and key stakeholder engagement.
HR Responsibilities:
- Responsible to work with all direct reports in the preparation of their personal development and work plans.
- Provide and execute on regular feedback and performance management reviews of all direct reports.
- Takes a lead role in recruitment of new staff and volunteers for the B and P department, including development of role profiles and engaging in the hiring process as appropriate and required.
Communication and Fund Development:
- Lead and implement all aspects of our internal and external Marketing and Communication including the development, implementation, and evaluation of an annual communications strategy in alignment with the ASNB's strategic plan.
- Lead and implement the development of a fund development strategy, annual fundraising plan, and growth strategies including the monitoring and ongoing evaluation of the plans / strategies in alignment with the ASNB's strategic plan.
- Optimize donor stewardship and database analysis with a focus on acquisition and retention of donors.
- Promote fundraising and awareness events, participating and supporting as required.
- Collaborate with Federation Partners, and represent New Brunswick on National Working Groups.
- In partnership with Fundraising and Events Coordinator, produce fund development collateral materials such as case statements, briefing notes, stewardship letters, and other fundraising resources as required.
- Develop, and where feasible, translate all marketing and communications collateral, including press releases, internal and external newsletters, and public facing reports
- Monitors and ensures brand compliance in all areas of activity
- Regular website maintenance and updates, including intranet content
- Manage all social media content with the goal of supporting programs and services, and increasing overall awareness of the ASNB and our programs and services
- Lead the implementation of the ASNB's annual Awareness Campaign
- Work collaboratively with Programs and Services team to identify communications needs and opportunities.
- Other duties as needed to complete leadership and Brand & Philanthropy team goals.
- Travel as required

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor-level degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline or marketing and communications field
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write and speak clearly, succinctly, and in a manner, that appeals to a wide audience
- Experience in management would be an asset
- Ability to support, organize, and motivate a multidisciplinary team

- This position requires the ability and willingness to travel within the province of New Brunswick.
- Valid driver's license and access to personal vehicle with proof of insurance
- Bilingual: French and English is a preferred asset
