Vestcor has a full-time position available for a Manager IT Operations.

Located in Fredericton, Vestcor is the largest investment manager in Atlantic Canada providing global investment management services to 11 different client groups representing approximately $23.1 billion in assets under management. We also provide administration services to 10 pension plans and five employee benefit plans.

Reporting to the Director Information Technology, the Manager IT Operations plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the organization's IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include overseeing the Service Desk and System Administration functions, maintaining network infrastructure, developing and enforcing control objectives and operational procedures, managing the inventory of user hardware and software licensing as well as managing procurement and lifecycles.

The ideal candidate requires a university or college degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, and seven years of progressive experience in IT operations, with three years in a managerial role. They should have a strong knowledge of network infrastructure, system administration, and IT service management. Certifications such as ITIL, CRISC, or CISSP would be considered assets.

The successful candidate will be self-driven, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and will be a team player with excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., ISACA, CIPS, CIOCAN, ISC2) would be an asset. Written and spoken competence in English is required.
