What you will do:
Reporting to the Park Manager, you will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Preparing documents and managing human resources information including personnel files, time sheets, staff hiring requests, and payroll records
  • Acting as liaison with human resources with respect to employment programs and all employee information requests
  • Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes
  • Providing telephone and receptionist duties
  • Screening all incoming calls and forwarding to the appropriate staff as well as answer public inquiries
  • Opening, reading, sorting, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Coordinating travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Verifying and assigning financial coding, managing payment of invoices and budget tracking
  • Assisting with the overall financial monitoring of budgets and the preparation of quarterly reports
  • Performing a wide variety of confidential and delegated duties using considerable independent judgment, initiative, and discretion
  • Performing other related duties as required

Who you are:

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Required Competencies:

  • A high school diploma or GED supplemented by the successful completion of a one (1) year post-secondary diploma in the secretarial/clerical field or office administration, plus a minimum of 3 years related administrative work experience OR High school diploma or GED plus a minimum of 4 years related administrative work experience
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

Wage:
$1,816.00 to $2,205.00 bi-weekly

Work environment:

  • Office location: Mactaquac Provincial Park
  • Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:15AM-4:30PM
