The Administrative Assistant, Clinical Services is responsible for providing day to day business support and administrative services for the Clinical Services team. This position is essential to assist in the effective monitoring and educational support of quality clinical care delivery by ensuring inquiries and general administrative issues are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner.
Responsibilities include typing and proofreading correspondence, developing presentation materials, organizing travel and meetings, taking minutes, reconciling expense claims, ordering supplies, compiling data, managing communications, maintaining filing systems, and participating in audits.
Professional Qualifications & Competencies:
- Post-secondary education in office administration or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Minimum three years related experience working in an office environment, preferably with experience in the health care industry.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites of Products.
- Excellent keyboarding skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology an asset.
- Able to work well under pressure, often under strict deadlines.
- Effective listening skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Exercise good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Well organized with the ability to prioritize workload.
- Self-motivated team player and able to work independently.
- Excellent typing and proof-reading skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
