Overtime Method: | Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Hours: | Sat-Sun, 02:00-06:00 and 10:00-15:00

Payrate: | $22.14/hour

YGK is the three-letter location code for Kingston Airport.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence
  • Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises
  • Ensure all staff, visitors, and vendors are following the protocols for YGK Airport
  • Assist visitors as necessary with wayfinding as required
  • Proactive, consistent patrols inside and outside the airport
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the utmost professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexible, and customer service oriented
  • Remain calm and effectively perform in emergency situations
  • Able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
  • Report writing and note taking
  • Access control for restricted areas of the property
  • Additional job duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Security License for Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
  • VSC and CRJMC 6 months or newer
  • Able to sit/stand for up to 12 hours per shift
  • Able to complete extensive patrolling of site
  • Proficient English communication (oral and written) required
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
    • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
    • Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
