The Opportunity

This position (temporary until April 2027) has overall responsibility for the development, evaluation and execution of the Company's Corporate Investment Strategy, website management, graphic design and communications assistance to the Strategic Communications and Public Affairs Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and execute the Corporate Investment Strategy and community outreach while maintaining partner relationships.
  • Manage corporate sponsorship of events and associated costs.
  • Seek out partnership opportunities that align with corporate values.
  • Analyze and evaluate ongoing requests for corporate donations and sponsorships and respond to inquiries.
  • Negotiate sponsorship agreements that provide maximum value and attribution for the Company.
  • Develop print, marketing materials and signage to support community partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Manage the Company's flagship environmental and sustainability initiative, EnviroFest, including call for proposals, selection and execution of projects in coordination with area representatives.
  • Create communications and marketing materials for a variety of audiences and sources including web, social media, video, digital signage and print (ads, newsletters, reports, brochures).
  • Utilize graphic design to maximize effectiveness of messaging in advertising and customer communications (Power Connection and other bill inserts).
  • Maintain, update and administer website including monitoring of analytics and content approval process.
  • Oversight of all ongoing website technology improvements.
  • Navigate, monitor and produce analytical reports for social media channels.
  • Media monitoring.
  • Ensure coverage with brand standards and provide advice on appropriate use of brand elements.
  • Foster positive relationships with both internal and external groups.
  • Liaise with the production centre and external printing companies.
  • Evaluate, coordinate and administer the Company's promotional items program.
  • Tracking of invoicing and budget monitoring.
  • Provide support to team through other related duties.

Your qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Business, Marketing and/or Digital Communications or related discipline. 3-5 years' related work experience in social media, videography, graphic design and web content management tools, as well as Adobe Suite, Canva or related design program.
  • Excellent written and oral skills with a proven ability to plan and execute effective communications.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills and a proven ability to manage multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative and motivated with strong analytical and organizational skills who can build strong partnerships.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and web metrics, including experience in interpreting digital statistics and reporting tools is an asset.
