Position: Security Team Lead

Hours: Continental Rotating (0700-1900/1900-0700 hrs)
Payrate: $23.27/hr. - $25.60/hr. "based on levelling system"
Averaging Agreement: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Essential Job Functions:
- Provides leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training
- Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift
- Ensures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and site-specific security policies and procedures
- Plans and implements shift work schedules
- Ensures all Security Guards have received the mandatory training
- Motivates staff and issues commendations
- Coach and manage team performance, issuing corrective actions when necessary, and ensure all performance-related documentation is sent to the Client Service Manager
- Attendance Management
- Performs security audits
- Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints
- Provide proactive and reactive security patrols.
- Communicates any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager
Requirements:
- A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- A Valid Standard First AID CPR C Certificate (From a WSIB Approved Organization)
- Proof of up to date immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step Tuberculosis skin test
- Covid Vaccine two doses
- Must be willing to complete N95 Mask fit testing during the training
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- At least one year of security experience in a team lead role
- Minimum two year of security experience in healthcare environment
- Post-Secondary education in a law enforcement/security program from a recognized college
- Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
- Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
