Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Hours: Continental Rotation ( 0800-2000/2000-0800)
Payrate: $ 19.19/hour

Key responsibilities:
- Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site.
- Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.
- Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.
- Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist hospital staff as needed during crises and evacuations.
- Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
- De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally.
- Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns.
- Work closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved.
- Ensure that hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed. Address any violations in a manner that upholds hospital safety standards
Prerequisites:
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Covid Vaccine two doses
- Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin test
- N95 Mask Fit Requirement
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
