On behalf of our confidential client, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join and lead their food and beverage team and operations located in rural Nova Scotia.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in hands-on leadership, values community, and brings a fresh approach to rural hospitality, living and working in one of Nova Scotia's most scenic regions. As Food & Beverage Manager, you will oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service and efficient management across the front and back of house. You will work closely with the culinary and service teams to deliver high-quality, locally inspired food and drink experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including service quality, inventory, and staffing.
  • Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house and kitchen teams ensuring employee satisfaction.
  • Manage budgets, cost controls, supplier relationships and alignment to brand.
  • Collaborate with chefs on menu development and seasonal offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Contribute to marketing and guest experience strategies.
  • Financial oversight of the department with focus on maximizing revenue and performance.

Qualifications:

As the ideal candidate, you are a driven and dynamic professional possessing a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in food and beverage management level roles. A strong leader, you possess proven leadership, people management and problem-solving skills. A strong understanding of food cost control and operational budgeting is essential. A passion for hospitality and commitment to guest satisfaction will be key to success in the role. With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you possess a strong customer service focus and are highly analytical by nature. Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on work environment, you are able to multitask, be flexible, creative, and willing to adapt to rural community life. Relevant post-secondary education will be preferred.
