Now hiring: A consumer show Event Manager who wants to help us put Saltwinds delicious, award winning coffee into the hands of coffee lovers across Canada. Saltwinds Coffee Company is an award winning coffee roastery based near Fredericton, NB, specialising in high quality coffee that is infused with Ocean Air. Launched in 2022, we are selling across Canada and the USA online, in retail stores, and at consumer events with an ever growing demand for our unique Maritime flavoured blends. As we continue to grow, we are hiring an Events Manager to lead a team promoting Saltwinds Coffee to a huge range of consumers across the country via shows like the One of a Kind Show, the Calgary Stampede, the Halifax Buskers Festival and many more. The objective of these shows is not just to sell coffee, but also to spread the word about Saltwinds and allow consumers the opportunity to sample our products.

The Event Manager's duties will center around finding, organising, and running high impact consumer sales events across Canada. Responsibilities include:

• Event booking: selecting events, negotiating pricing and location, organising permits and insurance.
• Staff management: Hire and train front-of-booth Brew Crew staff, create, maintain and deliver onboarding programs, and ensure consistency across teams. Manage staff schedules and travel.
• Event inventory management: Forecast how much stock to bring to each event, coordinate shipments, and track shrinkage/returns.
• Event setup and teardown: coordinate booth installation, dismantling, and transport.
• Event marketing: manage creation of booth visuals, promo, and pre/post-show campaigns.
• Partnerships: build relationships with event organizers, food festivals, and expo producers for preferred booth placement and co-marketing opportunities.
• Other duties as required to help Saltwinds Coffee Company grow

This full-time permanent role starts in the fall of 2025; exact start date to be negotiated. This role is a mixture of remote work, travel for events (approximately 33% of time spent travelling), and support for local Brew Crews in Halifax, Fredericton, and / or Toronto. The candidate would be ideally located within Atlantic Canada to support local brew crews, but we will consider excellent candidates located across Canada.

• Is someone who has previous experience organising events, ideally consumer shows
• Can create meaningful connections in brief interactions over a cup of coffee
• is an organisational superstar who can juggle multiple event and staff schedule simultaneously
• is an experienced team leader who has previously managed and trained others
• is effectively able to motivate themselves and others to meet aggressive sales goals
• is experienced at managing logistics (shipping, inventory, stock management)
• Has a valid Canadian drivers license and access to a vehicle
