SCHEDULE: Day, Evening, Weekend, Rotation, Other, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essential

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent of the position works on a team providing services to a varied clientele. Adds and modifies schedules and types of appointments in the programming of the Scheduling Module in the Meditech system. Performs any other tasks concerning patient bookings as well as scheduling. Processes referrals, other documents and medical forms. Books appointments and advises patients, physicians and departments. Enters orders into the electronic request system and physicians' examinations into Meditech. Performs any other related tasks as needed to ensure the department runs smoothly. Note that the incumbent could be asked to do shifts in another facility depending on the needs of the department.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school graduation or general education diploma (GED) plus an additional administrative support program/course of over six months and up to one year or equivalent, which includes medical terminology and keyboarding;
  • Two years' previous experience with the Meditech Scheduling Module
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365;
  • Know of other software programs curently used within the Network;
  • Excellent skills serving a variety of clients;
  • Ability to manage their workload and handle multiple priorities;
  • Discretion and sense of responsibility;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
