As an Environmental Technician/Technologist, you will work in collaboration with the GTA Environment team.

Your main responsibilities will be to co-ordinate and complete assigned activities with respect to the implementation and management of environmental projects including but not limited to:

  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety policies;
  • Coordinate and Perform Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, including historical research, site inspections, oversight of remediation and drilling contractors, borehole drilling and monitor well installations as well as soil, soil vapour and groundwater sampling programs as well as slug tests;
  • Preparation of detailed field notes, data analysis and evaluation;
  • Participate in technical report and proposal writing; and
  • Develop and maintain client and subcontractor relationships.
  • College diploma or University degree in Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, or an environmental related field.
  • 2 years' experience as an environmental consultant in environmental drilling and test pitting, collection of soil and groundwater samples .
  • Understanding of and/or ability to learn technical laboratory and field-testing procedures as required.
  • Working knowledge of both provincial and federal environmental regulations would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to complex topics and concepts, working independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently problem-solve, tackle new assignments and multi-task in a busy work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to perform detailed analysis in various software programs.
  • Possession of or eligibility to obtain Security Clearances at the Provincial and Federal level.
  • Possession of a valid Province of Ontario driver's licence and access to a personal vehicle for work related purposes.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for health and safety.
  • Attention to detail is a must for this position.

Qualifications:
