Air Borealis is currently seeking qualified applicants for our Ground & Cargo Operations Manager position based in Goose Bay, NL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Cargo and Ground Team
  • Effectively plan and implement methods and procedures to ensure that all operational requirements are met.
  • Provide effective account management to current client base.
  • Implement, maintain and supervise all safety/security/compliance measures related to people, equipment and facilities within the operation.
  • Ensure all paperwork related to Cargo & Ramp operations is accurate.
  • Ensure proper handling and delivery of cargo.
  • Maintain safe operation of warehouse, vehicles and equipment.
  • Scheduling, monitoring and evaluating all departmental staff.
  • Monitoring and measurement of operational objectives.
  • Up to date monitoring and evaluating all departmental staff.
  • Review operational targets and create recommendations and strategies to meet company objectives and budgets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in airline operations
  • 2+ years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Post-secondary degree in Business Management would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledgeable of applicable cargo handling and Transport Canada regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations, ramp operations and freighter handling is required
  • Experience in enhancing operational efficiency and safety
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be detailed and driven with the ability to process information quickly.
