As Senior Marketing Advisor, Group Business Products, you will be responsible for developing and executing product marketing strategies including market-facing product positioning and go-to-market plans that are aligned with our overall group value story. You will collaborate closely with senior product leaders, Brand, Communications and the rest of the Marketing team to develop integrated strategic marketing plans that promote our solutions while raising awareness of our brand and value proposition to support growth and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing Planning and Execution

  • Lead the creation of compelling integrated product marketing strategies to bring innovative group products to market.
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders and external partners to increase awareness and achieve sales and retention objectives across the life cycle of the group insurance product portfolio.
  • Leverage a range of current and emerging digital and traditional marketing tactics, campaigns, communication channels, and sales enablement practices.

Communication and Content Development

  • Craft compelling product messaging and narratives that clearly communicate our differentiation and are aligned with our overall group value story.
  • Develop materials to support sales team and broker education and relationships
  • Develop materials to support client and member product awareness and utilization.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure key product updates and messages are captured in thought leadership and content plans and effectively communicated through communication channels.

Analytics and Performance

  • Track and report key metrics to optimize ROI of marketing campaigns and tactics.
  • Nurture and apply a deep understanding of the business, including key audiences and competitive intelligence, to inform strategies and recommendations

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Effectively collaborate with Marketing and cross-functional colleagues to identify synergies and opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • University Degree, ideally in business or marketing

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience including developing and executing marketing plans, product marketing, and communications development, ideally within a corporate environment. Experience in B2B marketing and/or insurance industry is considered a strong asset
  • Experienced customer-focus orientation driven through commissioning and translating ad hoc and/or syndicated research to create compelling messages in order achieve brand, product, and corporate goals
  • Digital-first mindset and digital marketing acumen
  • Proven excellent leadership, collaboration and relationship skills with internal stakeholders and external vendors - working with ease to engage, inspire, negotiate to deliver results from successful marketing activities
  • Skilled in project management to proactively engage contributors and stakeholders, negotiate and influence deliverables, timelines, pricing, monitor and report on progress, results and post-mortem learnings.
  • Detail oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy a variety of work, and can change gears quickly

Language Skills:

  • Fluency in English, Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset
