In this role, you will:
- Maintain databases in compliance with organizational standards.
- Collect accurate and reliable data and information from various sources.
- Provide guidance to others in ensuring accurate data inputs and accessing required reporting and data points.
- Respond to user queries and issues in accessing and using data and escalate as needed.
- Track identified metrics and data points, ensuring consistency and quality in data inputs.
- Prepare and generate regular reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Regularly audit and validate data to ensure its accuracy and completeness, identifying and resolving data-related issues.
- Support the documentation of data collection methods, workflows and database management.
- Support the development of reporting tools and processes.
- Identify opportunities for improvements to reporting, processes, and systems.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and data governance frameworks.
- Manage sensitive information in accordance with confidentiality and privacy standards, ensuring that data is handled securely at all stages.
- Act as a data ambassador, promoting a data-driven culture across the organization.
What we are looking for:
- Qualifications include a minimum of 2-4 years of experience and a 3-year college diploma or university degree in data science, computer science, social sciences, public administration, business administration, international development, community development or related field, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (L4)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools.
- Knowledge of technical documentation, data governance and reporting.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues, by applying standard procedures and functional or organizational knowledge. (L3)
- Communication skills, diplomacy and empathy to interpret information and deliver advice, clarify client or stakeholder needs, offer solutions, and resolve escalations in new or somewhat sensitive situations. (L3)
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data for decision-making.
Working Conditions
- No unusual physical requirements.
- Requires concentration, attentiveness, and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work priorities and respond to time sensitive needs.
- Will be working primarily in an office-like setting when not deployed to emergency responses.
- May require travel to safe locations; limited exposure to adverse conditions
