Shift Energy Group is expanding to Moncton, NB and we're hiring a Crew Electrician to help lead our brand-new field crew team. This role is designed for an experienced, licensed electrician who's ready to be a hands-on leader - someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work, and knows how to guide a team from job start to closeout.

About the Role:

As a Crew Electrician, you'll be responsible for the hands-on installation of solar PV systems, electrical interconnections, and equipment commissioning. This role is pivotal in installing electrical systems, solar racking, and interconnecting our residential and commercial solar PV systems.

Responsibilities:

- Installing, maintaining, and repairing solar PV systems and equipment (e.g., inverters, racking systems, batteries, charge controllers).

- Conducting electrical wiring, commissioning, and testing of solar PV systems to ensure optimal functionality.

- Ensuring adherence to electrical and safety standards while promptly addressing technical issues.

- Collaborating closely with the Field Manager and team members to ensure timely project completion.

- Assisting senior electricians in troubleshooting and repairing solar PV systems when necessary.

- Operating tools and equipment (such as drills, saws, and ladders) to complete installation tasks.

- Maintaining a safe and productive work environment by strictly following safety standards and building codes.

- Leading a crew consisting of three individuals, including apprentices and solar installers.

- Keep accurate records of material used and proper documentation on work orders relating to the installation.

What We're Looking For

Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician with several years of field experience; residential experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and jobsite safety practices

Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners, businesses, and other trades on-site

Self-motivated, solutions-focused, and accountable

Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean driving record

Working Conditions Include

Outdoor Field work occurs in diverse weather conditions and normal hazards associated with construction sites.

Climbing, working at heights, and/or working within confined spaces.

The ability to safely handle tools and materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.

Performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

Location: Moncton, New Brunswick

Hours: 40 hours/week, with flexibility depending on project needs

Occasional travel across New Brunswick and out-of-town work may be required
