The Mechanical Planner is responsible for in-depth planning, assessing, and scheduling activities in support of Operational and Maintenance requirements. Effective planning is essential in reducing delays by accomplishing the work in an efficient and productive manner, which contributes to maintaining a high level of plant performance.
Key functions include:
- Assessments for repairs to plant equipment
- Identification of required parts to handoff to Supply and Procurement team
- Task identification for cross functional work centers
Our ideal teammate will have:
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) CQ
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities and adjust plans dynamically in response to operational changes.
The following would be considered assets:
- Work experience in work planning, resource coordination, scheduling, or forecasting in any industry.
- Experience with a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), such as SAP.
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
