Qualifications:
? Graduation from high school or equivalency.
? Current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR);
? Successful completion of Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVIC) or willingness to complete (within timeframe designated by the employer);
? Successful completion of Mosby?s Suite Suicide Assessment and Precautions or willingness to complete (within timeframe designated by the employer);
? The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory Certificate of Conduct and vulnerable sector check
Duties: (Included but not limited to)
? Obtains reports on client?s behaviour and plan of care, specifically relating to safety and security issues;
? Observes and monitors the client?s behaviour related to safety and security, and reports any changes or concerns;
? Maintains visual observation of the client at all times, ensuring the client is never left unattended
? Responds to client?s needs and requests in consultation with the assigned nurse;
? Documents according to organizational policies and unit guidelines
? Maintains strict confidentiality on all matters related to the client;
? Other related duties as required.
