As Director of Business Development, your mandate will be to achieve sales targets for savings and individual insurance products with brokers and managing general agents in your territory.
Your initial assignment will cover:
New Brunswick for individual insurance.
All Atlantic provinces for individual investments.
The territory requires a focus more important on the individual products, requiring strong expertise in this area and a good understanding of individual insurance.
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven professional with excellent communication and problem-solving skills to support growth and innovation within our sales and marketing team.
- Achieve or exceed monthly and annual targets for sales, calls, and meetings.
- Implement the sales business development strategy in the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our distributors (MGAs and advisors).
- Develop and execute sales and retention strategies with distributors (including visits, advisor presentations, etc.).
- Proactively contact existing advisors to provide product updates and highlight opportunities to grow their business with Assumption products.
- Identify and recruit new advisors and distribution opportunities.
- Provide business development support to advisors, adding value to our distribution network.
- Represent Assumption Life as an ambassador at promotional and industry events.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and French.
- University or college degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in financial services or insurance.
- Proven experience in selling investment and insurance products.
- Knowledge of the MGA market (strong asset).
- Professional designations such as LLQP, CFP, CLU, or others (asset).
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations and workshops.
