The Tri County Regional Centre for Education (TCRCE) currently has the following two permanent positions available:

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS

Locations: Shelburne, Yarmouth and Digby Counties

The Tri-County School Board is located in South-West Nova Scotia and includes Shelburne, Yarmouth and Digby Counties. Currently, there are approximately 7700 students within 28 schools among the various unique communities in the area.

We are part of the collaborative professional team with Student Services consisting of Speech Language Pathologists, School Psychologists, SchoolsPlus Staff, Student Services Consultants/Autism Support Teachers, Severe Learning Disabilities Teachers, and Learning Support Teachers. Responsibilities include collaborative consultation with school based teams, informal and formal assessment, development of program plans to increase student success for those students with communication needs and provide treatment. Furthermore, the Speech-Language Pathologists work closely with teachers, Teacher Assistants, Administrative Staff, other professionals and parents.

The Successful Candidate(s) will have:

  • Master Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders or equivalent Master Degree.
  • Eligible for certification by the Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
  • Eligible for certification by Teacher Certification - Nova Scotia Department of Education.
  • Training in Assistive Technology.
