Reporting to the Senior Director, Contracts this role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory and legal obligations while mitigating risk by monitoring contract performance. Success will be achieved through effective contract negotiation, administration and management across the contract lifecycle.
What You Will Do:- Contract drafting, negotiation, review, approval, execution, and renewal.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and evaluate contractual risks and requirements, providing guidance and recommendations as needed.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance to ensure timely delivery and adherence to contractual terms, including legal and regulatory obligations.
- Conduct thorough review and analysis of contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Address inquiries related to contract interpretation and compliance efficiently, providing consistent support to business units.
- Engage in capture and bid management activities.
- Support Procurement in drafting terms and conditions, contractual review and negotiation and vendor and suppliers subcontracts.
- Billing and Claim preparation and oversight in accordance with the Contract Basis of Payment.
- Monitoring and analyzing progress against assigned contracts including periodic internal and external reporting.
- Prepare financial information to support contractual negotiation activities undertaken by the Company.
- Support financial forecasting for contract expenditures.
- Support management of various first-tier subcontractor relationships including commercial negotiations, financial planning and ensuring adherence to prime contract obligations.
- Maintain an up-to-date contract repository and database, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for all relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with company compliance to ITAR and Controlled Goods Regulations.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (ie. BComm, BBA, etc.). MBA considered an asset.
- Minimum of seven years' experience in Contract Management and/or negotiations.
- Experience in the Aerospace & Defence sector would be an asset.
- Strong computer skills with emphasis on spreadsheet and word processing experience.
- Above average interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
