The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (EECD) is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join the Centre of Excellence for Entrepreneurship. This position is within the Digital Learning and System Excellence Branch of the Anglophone Educational Services Division.
As the Entrepreneurship Consultant, you will lead the COE's efforts to foster innovative, career-connected learning experiences for K-12 students across the province. Working at the intersection of education and community engagement, you will cultivate partnerships, coordinate experiential learning opportunities, and support educators in connecting students with real-world entrepreneurial thinking and diverse career pathways.
In this role, you will:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the COE, plan events such as site visits, summits, and prepare resource packages.
  • Responsible to collect and analyze information pertaining to the COE.
  • Maintain and update the COE website to ensure it remains accessible and relevant.
  • Participate in and support the development of initiatives aligned with current and emerging department efforts.

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:
Required Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area (e.g. business, education) and,
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related area (e.g. program management, stakeholder engagement, and/or experience in educational settings)
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, data tracking, and reporting
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Experience working and maintaining digital platforms

Preference may be given to individuals who have knowledge of K-12 education systems, experiential learning, and/or professional development best practices
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Wage:
Pay Band 5 - $65,936 - $92,092 annually.
Work environment:
