WHO WE ARE:
The Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour is looking to fill various administrative assistant vacancies and build an inventory for future needs throughout the province.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As an administrative professional, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: support staff; daily administrative tasks while following established policies, practices and procedures; provide quality customer service to internal and external clients; support and promote the departmental records systems; handle, track, file and ensure confidentiality of documents; process invoices; data entry; conducting special projects and other specific duties related to the role for which you are hired. Some positions may require supervision of administrative staff.
Some positions may have operational requirements such as: ability to work evening and weekend shifts, lifting on occasion, standing for long periods of time and repetitive tasks. If the position involves working with a vulnerable sector you will also be required to provide a criminal record check.
WHO YOU ARE:
You bring a combination of the following skills and experience:
- A post-secondary diploma in office management, business management or a related field
- 3+ years of related experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail
- Effective interactive communication
- Results orientation
- Teamwork and cooperation
- Written and spoken competence in English and French
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

SALARY:
ASL 3: $1,625 to $1,971 bi-weekly
ASL 4: $1,816 to $2,205 bi-weekly
