Salary for this position will be commensurate with the level of experience and to be paid in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for salaried physician. Locums are paid the daily locum rate as per the MOA.

NL Health Services Eastern zone invites interested Consultation Liaison Psychiatrists to apply for a full-time permanent position with the Mental Health and Addictions Program within NL Health Services, Eastern Urban Zone, St. John?s, Newfoundland.

The Mental Health and Addictions Program is seeking a Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist to join our current group of 2 Consultation Liaison Psychiatrists. This is a full time position that works with a multidisciplinary team of Mental Health nursing and nurse practitioners. As this position will participate in a rotational style service, when not covering Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, this position will include outpatient general adult psychiatry clinics.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador; the criteria for licensure are outlined on the CPSNL website (www.cpsnl.ca)
  • Applicants must satisfy credentialing requirements for NL Health Services
  • Earned Medical Degree
  • Work experience is an asset
  • A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance
  • A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority
