Site Description:

Working on assigned shifts, you will provide proactive and reactive security patrols on foot and in a marked vehicle. You will control access and egress to the property by signing in all visitors and enforce site policies. You will be required to write daily reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to emergencies in a quick and efficient manner. You will monitor CCTV cameras. You will conduct safety orientations. You may be responsible to complete security patrols on foot through the parking lot and exterior property to deter wildlife.

Hours: 2 Week Afternoon Rotation

Mon, Tue, Wed 16:00 – 00:00hrs & Sat 12:00 – 00:00hrs

Position #2 Mon, Tue, Fri 16:00-00:00 & Sat 12:00 – 00:00hrs

Sun 12:00 – 00:00hrs & Mon, Thu, Fri 16:00 – 00:00hrs

Payrate: $19.67 / hour

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and patrol the premises to ensure safety and security.
  • Perform regular security checks of the property, including parking areas, entrances, exits, and other designated areas.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities.
  • Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies and take appropriate actions as needed.
  • Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activities.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly to the management team.
  • Complete daily logs and security reports, documenting any unusual occurrences.
  • Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors as needed.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly.
  • Cooperate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other authorities when necessary.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
  • Security personnel at this location are primary for emergency duties
  • Security personnel are to be conversant with emergency duties and procedures
  • Ability to utilize computer and various software including Microsoft Office and two-way radios
  • This position requires an interview with the Client Service Manager and/or the Site Supervisor

Prerequisites:

  • Valid Security Licence for the province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
  • Valid G class Driver's Licence
  • Clear Driver's Record
  • English (oral and written) fluency is a must
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
