We are looking for a Document Administrator. Located in Moncton and reporting to the Shared Services Billing Manager, the Document Administrator will be responsible in overseeing the collection, entry, retention, storage and release of confidential health records within the Billing Department. Major components of this position include daily reconciliation of the Patient Care Reports (PCR), entry of the Patient Care Reports (PCR), filling of confidential medical health records, tracking of missing Patient Care Reports, analysis of non-clinical and clinical audits, liaison with parties requesting confidential health information, assist in the development of policies and enforcement of privacy, and other related duties as the supervisor may see fit from time to time.

In this role, your primary responsibilities will be:

  • inputting Patient Care Reports into the database;
  • providing required PCR documentation to the Quality Assurance Paramedic for the area;
  • serving as a backup for reconciliation of all Patient Care Reports to the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) report;
  • aiding in the documentation and tracking of missing Patient Care Reports as well as the submission of this report to the Supervisor along with the appropriate area Operation Manager or Regional Manager;
  • overseeing the filing of daily Patient Care Reports by Master Incident Number (MIN);
  • serving as the secondary contact for parties wishing to review or obtain information from confidential medical health records;
  • ensuring that the release of confidential health information is in accordance with company policy;
  • backup for Receptionist to cover lunch hours and vacations;
  • other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you:

  • possess a post-secondary education from a recognized university, academic institution, or business college or equivalent combination of experience and education;
  • have a minimum of two years related experience working in an office environment, preferably with experience in the health care industry;
  • are detail oriented and self-motivated individual with exceptional organizational abilities;
  • are committed to providing stellar levels of customer/patient service and have a passion for business growth within MHSNB;
  • knowledge and/or expertise in data entry and/or medical record administration;
  • familiar with the handling and processing of confidential medical information;
  • capable of doing repetitive tasks for long periods with high accuracy;
  • possess excellent communication skills.

Bilingualism would be considered an asset.
