Job Title: Forklift Clamp Driver

Location: Dartmouth Terminal, Dartmouth, NS

Shifts: Sundays to Saturdays (work 5 days a week), 7am to 5pm- start and end time may vary

Wage : $20/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clamp Driver to operate forklifts fitted with box clamp attachments and assist with hand bomb (manual unloading/loading) tasks within our client's Dartmouth transloading terminal-a key hub in ensuring seamless freight movement and supply chain efficiency. This is a full-time opportunity with room for permanent placement for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift equipped with box clamp attachment to load, unload, and maneuver cargo efficiently and securely
• Assist with manual handling tasks-commonly referred to as hand bombing-when equipment use is not feasible.
• Perform routine safety inspections and maintenance on forklift equipment; report any mechanical issues promptly
• Adhere strictly to company safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse and terminal teams to coordinate operations and optimize workflow.
• Record movement and handling of materials accurately to support inventory tracking and operational transparency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid forklift operator certification-experience with clamp attachments
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating forklifts, ideally in transloading, warehousing, or logistics environment
• Physically capable of performing manual handling tasks safely (lifting up to 50?lbs frequently)
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a safety-first mindset.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential for smooth operation.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with potential for shift flexibility
