Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Rate of Pay: $2 5 .00 -$30.00 /hour

Available Shift: Days (Mon-Fri, 7: 3 0am - 4:30pm)

Location: Burlington, ON - Guelph Line and Mainway

Start Date: immediately (as soon as possible)

We are currently hiring a professional, driven and mechanically inclined candidate to join our client's growing team. They are a global supplier and leader in the design, manufactur ing and consultation of packaging technology, applications and products. This is a temporary to permanent hire opportunity with a fast-growing organization!

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and repair products or systems such as labeling machines, or other equipment following blueprints/drawings
• Modify or fabricate parts using conventional mills and lathes
• Assemble products and systems to work with existing product lines.
• Evaluate field installations and recommend modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
• Occasional travel to customers or other company sites may be required to support installation and service work.
• Operate custom machines (requires modification and fabrications of parts using mill/lathe)
• Use hand tools, drills and other power tools
• Ensure quality and safety standards are met throughout the assembly process

Qualifications :

• Millwright experience and/or assembly of machining equipment required , preferably in the packaging industry.
• Familiar with hand and power tools.
• S trong organizational and time management skills.
• Works effectively individually and with a team.
• Possesses strong attention to detail.
• Able to lift 50lbs as needed.
• Creative, adaptable and willing to learn in response to changing circumstances and challenges.
• Willing to provide a Criminal Record Search.
