In this role, you will :
- Develops supportive granting tools and processes, balancing contextual needs and specifications with service line standards and practices (e.g., guidelines, application packages, report templates, workflows).
- Provides project management leadership and technical expertise for the development and launch of new granting initiatives Society-wide, with direction from Recovery Services leadership and in collaboration with operational stakeholders.
- Contributes to the development and documentation of grant methodology in alignment with CRC standards and in response to new and emerging program opportunities.
- Liaises with other services lines and teams, such as Legal and Finance, to put in place appropriate legal, monitoring, and compliance tools for granting initiatives (agreement templates, compliance monitoring, financial monitoring, etc.)
- Delivers orientation, training, and capacity building activities to support the operationalization of granting initiatives by service lines.
- Produces quality materials to further organizational understanding of Recovery Services, granting theory and practice, service line offerings, and standards (presentations, briefings, etc.).
- Contributes to the development of compliance, quality assurance, and risk management practices relative to granting.
- Contributes to the development of Recovery Services offerings and standards, and develops supportive frameworks, work plans, and other development tools.
- Actively works to promote reconciliation, equity, and inclusion in Recovery Services and in granting approaches, by staying informed of relevant practices in the sector and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
What we are looking for :
- University degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution.
- Minimum of 6-9 years experience in the not-for-profit, humanitarian, or community development sector in program development.
- Knowledge of program development and project management principles, including PMER, and Results Based Management (RBM).
- Knowledge of legal frameworks and principles for granting in Canada.
- Understanding of disaster response and recovery.
- Project management skills to coordinate multiple program components, understand dependencies and plan the design and development of grant programs.
- Ability to harmonize perspectives among internal and external stakeholders while fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Experience in delivering technical support, training, and capacity building to diverse teams in complex situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, experience with grant management software is an asset.
- Fluency in English and French is required.
Working Conditions :
- Work will be primarily conducted in an office like setting.
- May require travel to safe locations; limited exposure to adverse conditions.
- In a large-scale emergency, where staff numbers are compromised or additional resources are required, provide disaster relief and or emergency field operational support.
- All CRC roles are required to adapt work and priorities to support emergency response efforts, be present in person as required to support service delivery and deploy to emergency responses when appropriate and/or required (personnel availability and request for exemptions will be discussed with line management).
