We're seeking a motivated, seasoned Site Superintendent / Site Supervisor who can oversee day-to-day site operations in Nova Scotia and across other Maritime provinces. Responsibilities
  • Leadership on Site: Act as the primary site leader for all trades and contractors, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration to maintain project quality and timelines.
  • Project Start-Up and Review: Review project plans with the Project Manager (PM), ensuring all required documentation and scope details are understood and accessible.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot on-site issues as they arise; escalate project-related concerns to the PM as necessary for resolution.
  • Customer Service: Serve as a direct point of contact for Owners and Clients on site, ensuring clear communication of expectations and progress throughout each project phase.
  • Risk & Safety Management: Manage site safety inspections, reporting, and compliance, ensuring that all trades complete necessary safety training and onboarding.
  • Quality Control: Regularly inspect work completed by trades and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project plans and quality standards.
  • Closeout Activities: Lead all closeout activities, ensuring a thorough project wrap-up and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Must be based in Halifax region and willing and able to travel regularly across the Maritimes to support projects in multiple locations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience required as a Site Superintendent in the Halifax region.
  • Proven understanding of all phases of commercial construction and subcontractor coordination.
  • Proficient in reading construction drawings, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and on-site reporting.
  • Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
