Position Type: Part-time Casual (up to 12 hours per week, on an as needed basis)
Location: Miramichi
Salary: $22.00 per hour
Reporting to the Academic Chair, Arts and Community Services, you will serve as a model for the Animation and Graphics' students in their life drawing classes, under the direction of the life drawing instructor. Models are expected to be able to hold poses from 30 seconds to as long as 20 minutes. While athletic ability is not required, body awareness and the ability to twist, turn, bend and accentuate the 3-dimensional qualities of the figure in poses is highly desirable.
The work is performed under supervision of the class instructor during class hours and model must be able to work collegially with instructors, be professional and punctual, and record hours after each working session. Models must be comfortable posing clothed or nude. Work is part-time and requires a flexible schedule. Modeling sessions are 2-4 hours long and include breaks.
Qualifications:
- Previous professional modelling experience is an asset but not a necessity.
- Must be at least 18 year of age.
- Models must not be a current student of NBCC.
- Written and spoken competence in English is required.
Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
