We're seeking applications for casual Fitness Instructors. If you have experience planning and facilitating group fitness programming such as dryland cardio, yoga, or other community recreational fitness programs, we want to hear from you!
Fitness Instructors work with our Community Recreation Coordinator to deliver fitness programming in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.
What you can offer:
- Certification to lead specialized programming
- Experience planning and leading specialized programming for youth, adults and/or seniors
- Basic Workplace First Aid, training can be provided, willingness to obtain required
- Clean Vulnerable Sector and Child Abuse Registry Checks
- Solid understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging with skills to foster a welcoming and accessible environment for all participants
Programs may be offered at the East Hants Aquatic Centre, East Hants Sportsplex or in schools and community halls in various locations across East Hants. Please indicate in application any preference for programming region if applicable (i.e. Mount Uniacke, corridor or rural region).
Hours: 5-10 hours/week
Hourly Rate: $32 p/hour of instruction
