SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Spoken French and English essential and written French or English

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Nephrology, the incumbent provides extensive administrative support to various departments (local and regional), performs high-level and very complex secretarial and office work involving tasks that are often difficult, technical and confidential with minimal supervision, performs various other administrative tasks, and shows discretion and tact.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Secondary school diploma or general education diploma (GED) plus an administrative support program of over one year and up to two years in length or the equivalent;
  • Five years' experience in an equivalent or related position;
  • Excellent skills using Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Meditech, Adobe and the Internet, and willingness to learn new software applications as needed;
  • Ability to write minutes for regular and special meetings;
  • Work history shows initiative and discretion;
  • Ability to set priorities and work effectively despite frequent interruptions;
  • Sense of responsibility, welcoming and approachable;
  • Proven skills in the ability to support various departments;
  • Great versatility and capacity to share expertise;
  • Proven skills in managing large work volume independently and developing a prioritization and workload management mechanism;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, to the Network's management philosophy and to organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
