0800-1600 and 0830-1630 hours; Monday to Friday

Duties:
Responsible for providing frontline biomedical engineering technology support services work within WZ.
? Diagnoses, calibrates, repairs and performs maintenance on all medical equipment to ensure quality assurance standards are met.
? Provides medical equipment technical support and instruction to medical, nursing and other professional staff.
? Utilizes biomedical equipment database system to maintain records of maintenance repair activities.
? Inspects and tests new medical equipment considered for purchase.
? Order repair parts and maintains inventory levels.
? Utilize reports, policies, maintenance and calibration procedures and other documentation regarding equipment maintenance, calibration, performance and downtime.
? Will be required to travel if needed.
? May be part of afterhours on-call rotation.
? Other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications: Graduation from a recognized Biomedical Engineering Technologist Program are required. Eligibility for registration with a Provincial Engineering & Technologists Association is required. CBET certification is preferred.

*A valid driver?s license and passport are required. The use of a private vehicle is also required

*A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.

Please Note: Travel throughout the Western Health Region and to vendor training sites will be required. Standby on call may be required.
