Job Title: Reformer Pilates Instructor
Location: Saint Mary's University, Homburg Centre for Health and Wellness
Schedule: Afternoons, Evenings, and Weekends
Compensation: $30-$40 per class (based on experience and qualifications)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and engaging Reformer Pilates Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate is trained in contemporary Pilates and has hands-on experience teaching with Reformer, Tower, and Split Pedal Chair apparatus. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a welcoming studio environment and is passionate about growing classes and helping clients build strength, mobility, and body awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct safe, effective, and inspiring group classes using the Pilates Reformer.
- Apply contemporary Pilates principles with creativity and attention to alignment, flow, and individual client needs.
- Offer modifications and progressions to support a wide range of fitness levels and abilities.
- Maintain a clean, professional studio space and ensure equipment is used safely and correctly.
- Build rapport with clients and foster a positive, inclusive class environment.
- Arrive on time, prepared, and enthusiastic to lead each session.
- Collaborate with the studio team to promote classes and contribute to community growth.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Reformer Pilates
- Experience teaching with the Split Pedal Chair is preferred.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- At least 1 year of group teaching experience preferred.
- Strong communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about helping clients improve through mindful movement.
Schedule:
Must be available to teach during some evenings, and weekends.
Class scheduling will be based on studio needs and instructor availability.
Compensation:
$30-$40 per class, based on experience and qualifications.
