NP35 (CAD51.29 - CAD63.65 per hour)

About the Role:
The Nurse Practitioner is part of an interdisciplinary team responsible for multiple services based on the needs of the population of the Western Region with primary responsibility to the Port Saunders Health Neighbourhood.
These services include, but are not limited to:
- Primary Health Care,
- Acute care,
- Emergency/fast track,
- And long-term care.
This can include the provision of services in a variety of settings and methods including in person visits, virtual care, and visits in patients? homes including within personal care homes.
Job Qualifications:
- Current registration with the Association of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador and current Nurse Practitioner License are required.
- The incumbent must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships is essential.
- Experience working independently with limited supervision and a willingness to travel are also required.
- Maintaining certification in BCLS and the willingness to complete certification in ACLS, PALS, and TNCC within two years of appointment to the position are required.
- A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
- Use of a private vehicle is a condition of employment
In the event no suitable candidate is found with the above noted qualifications, consideration may be given to applicants who do not currently possess a Nurse Practitioner License, but are qualified to enroll in an approved Master in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner (MN/NP) program. In this case, the successful applicant must be prepared to demonstrate proof of registration/enrollment upon appointment and provide updates based on the progress of each semester of the program.
