JOB TYPE: Permanent full-time

SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essential

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent will perform various secretarial functions of an administrative nature that are both complex and confidential. The incumbent will be required to have extensive knowledge of the objectives and activities of the Clinical Programs Directorate, in addition to a good understanding and mastery the administrative aspects of the Forensic Psychiatry Programs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary diploma in secretarial or clerical work or any equivalent combination of training and experience;
  • Three years' related relative experience;
  • Medical terminology training or completion of training within set deadlines (training available in iTacit);
  • Excellent skills in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access);
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize with multiple people;
  • Demonstrate a high degree of judgment, initiative, creativity and flexibility;
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and oral) in both official languages and be able to make informed assessments of legal documents;
  • Excellent organizational, planning and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physically able to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
