Title: Advisor, Emergency Management, Ready When the Time Comes Program

In this role, you will:
- Coordinate the development, maintenance, and renewal of partnerships with identified partner organizations.
- Contribute to the development of specialized resources for the partnership program.
- Contribute to the development of recruitment strategies (e.g. recruitment goals, training plans, and activities focused on developing and sustaining operational capacity).
- Help partner organizations in Québec and Canada organize recruitment campaigns, training sessions and activities that foster ongoing engagement and capacity-building.
- Contribute to and implement new tools to support the growth of the Ready When the Time Comes program with the aim of increasing membership.
- Provide operational support to other provinces rolling out the Ready When the Time Comes model.
- Engage and supervise the Ready When the Time Comes Program volunteers.
- Facilitate working committees .
- Prepare various analytical and statistical reports.
- Update partner-related information in the appropriate databases.
- Collaborate with relevant departments.
- Coordinate requests and the deployment of partner organizations personnel during emergency operations.
- Represent their designated area on working committees at the provincial and national levels.
- Be available to support large-scale disaster responses.
What we are looking for:
- Completion of a university degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in program planning and development.
- Experience facilitating committees .
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (bilingual English/French) .
- Excellent knowledge of and practical experience with the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Internet.
- Experience working in a volunteer environment is an asset.
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Strong skills in presentation and public representation.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and with partners.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time and priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and changing environment with multiple conflicting demands.
Working Conditions
- All teams contribute directly or indirectly to emergency response efforts.
- All Canadian Red Cross roles are required to adapt work and priorities to support emergency response efforts, be present in person as required to support service delivery and deploy to emergency responses when appropriate and/or required (personnel availability and request for exceptions will be discussed with line management).
- Canadian Red Cross roles that are assigned a function in the Emergency Relief operational structure (in field and virtual) may be required to be part of an on-call roster and be available for scheduled on-call work.
