The opportunity:
EfficiencyOne is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to support the Efficiency Partner Program (EPP) and the organization's Quality Assurance Program. This role is responsible for coordinating partner risk assessments, managing program Quality Control (QC) activities, and generating performance scorecards. The Specialist will act as a key liaison among internal teams, partners, and inspectors to ensure consistent quality outcomes and support a strong customer experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date partner account records, including attestations and certifications, in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Monitor and update partner risk rankings as needed.
- Collect and input project quality control data from programs and partners to support performance metrics and inspection planning.
- Assess projects for 3rd-party Quality Assurance Inspector (QAI) review.
- Develop and distribute partner performance scorecards in collaboration with program teams and inspectors.
- Analyze inspection results, identify true failures, and ensure alignment with program standards and installer capabilities.
- Support resolution of escalated compliance and performance cases; determine root cause and escalate appropriately.
- Review and correct case labeling, and support training where needed; prepare trend data and insights.
- Deliver regular QC updates and recommendations to programs and stakeholders; flag urgent issues as required.
- Contribute to QA process training materials and documentation.
- Maintain and update supplier performance processes and manuals in collaboration with the QA Team Lead.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the QA Lead.
What Will Help You Succeed?
- University degree or college diploma in a business-related field, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- In-depth understanding of the home improvement industry and key quality drivers for program success.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM/case management systems.
- Strong customer service and partner relationship management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or comparable quality management standards is an asset.
The identified target salary range for this position is between $58,000 - $63,000 per annum. Consideration may be made for individuals with greater experience in Quality Assurance.
What to expect in your first several weeks on the job:
In the first week, expect to:
- Introduction to Team and Program Managers to learn about your collaboration with program targets and trends, and team goals.
- Job shadow other teammates to learn about their roles and responsibilities.
- Read program materials to get more familiar with Partners and our tools and processes.
In the first month, expect to:
- Perform core duties with support.
- Continue to learn more about Quality Assurance and Efficiency Nova Scotia Programs
- Start identifying opportunities to improve processes with the Partner Performance program
In the first three months, expect to:
- Perform core duties independently.
- Support Quality Assurance Lead and Partnership and Quality Assurance Manager with duties as required.
- Establish a performance and development plan with your leader.
