What you will do

Reporting to the Regional Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • providing leadership, guidance, and support to employees, while ensuring effective teamwork and performance;
  • scheduling, distributing and monitoring work activities to ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures and provincial regulations;
  • preparing financial reports for the district management team;
  • monitoring the accuracy and quality of financial information and district budgets;
  • analyzing, managing, and providing financial information for departmental programs at the district level;
  • preparing and overseeing public tenders;
  • coordinating financial claims.

Work environment:

  • Office location: Fredericton
  • Standard hours of work: Monday – Friday.

  • Some travel within the province will be required.

Essential qualifications:

  • University degree in Commerce, Business Administration or a related field and a minimum of four (4) years' experience in accounting or a related field OR successful completion of a two (2) year post-secondary diploma in a related field and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

SALARY:

Pay Band 4: $2,216.00 to $3,099.00 bi-weekly, based on 36.25 hours per week.
