Position: Full Time Security Guard

Site: Uxbridge Cottage Hospital

Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Hours: Continental Rotation (1000-2200/2200-1000)

Payrate: $18.25

Schedule Example:

Week 1: Days - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat

Week 2: Days - Sun, Wed, Thu

Week 3: Nights - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat

Week 4: Nights - Sun, Wed, Thu

Key Responsibilities

Working on assigned shifts, you will work 8 and/or 12-hour shifts providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents. You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to coded emergencies in a quick and efficient manner. You should display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance. In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Proactive & reactive security patrols that engaged with public and staff.
• Response to incidents in a professional and timely order while maintaining safety of yourself and others
• Ability to complete accurate and detailed report writing, as it is an essential link in communication.
• Investigate routine incidents

Qualifications:

1. Immunization Record
2. COVID Double Vaccination
3. A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
4. First Aid CPR C
5. Proficient in English (both oral and written)
6. Vulnerable Sector Check
7. Must be willing to complete N95 Mask fit testing during the training
8. Legally Authorized to Work in Canada
