The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Process Superintendents IIMaintenance to join our Mines Teams working on site in Thompson, Manitoba.

This a permanent position and requires relocation to Thompson Manitoba,

As a Process Superintendent, you will coordinate with other Process Superintendents, Managers, and Supervisors across different operational areas to ensure that your direct reports and area of responsibility comply with all legislated regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable agreements.

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Implement and oversee Safety, Health, and Environment Management Systems, assessing effectiveness through trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with operations and technical services; develop and execute annual plans while mitigating plant upsets.
  • Lead both unionized and non-unionized teams, and develop talent to meet long-term area requirements, including personal development initiatives.
  • Achieve unit cost and capital expenditure targets, and lead the preparation of annual budgets and five-year plans.
  • Drive business planning for 1–3 year horizons, oversee mineral resource stewardship, capital planning, and maximize asset revenue.
  • Enhance asset reliability through effective care and utilization, implement new management systems, and lead initiatives to reduce process variability using data-driven problem solving.

About You

Education:

  • An undergraduate degree in Mining Engineering or other relevant field (minimum of Grade 12 with appropriate cognitive ability).
  • A minimum of 11 years of progressive experience in an underground mine environment.

Experience:

  • Experience in leadership and supervision of unionized and non-unionized workforces.
  • Experience assisting in preparation of annual and 5 year budgets, capital and metallurgical plans.

Skills:

  • Proven ability to assist with annual and five-year budget planning, as well as capital and metallurgical strategy development
  • Skilled in developing departmental policies and procedures, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Workplace Health & Safety Act and Safety, Health and Environment Management Systems
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP
