Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Foreperson of Municipal Enforcement, the duties of this position include the enforcement of Town regulations including, but not limited to traffic, nuisance, animal control, occupancy and maintenance.

Qualifications

  • College Diploma in Municipal Law Enforcement with two (2) years of experience in a related field;
  • Working knowledge of municipal by-laws is required;
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with various stakeholder groups, including members of the public, external agencies, elected officials, and other city staff with a customer minded approach and excellent communication skills;
  • Experience in legal note-taking, the preparation of written reports, and serving legal documents;
  • Experience with database software, preferably in an enforcement environment;
  • Or any equivalent combination of experience and training acceptable to the Town.
  • Willingness to work a varied shift schedule;
  • Valid drivers' license.

Successful candidates will be required to submit:

  • First Aid certificate
  • Clear Certificate of Conduct / Vulnerable Sector check
  • Satisfactory driver's abstract

This is a full time, permanent unionized position with a varying work schedule. The annual salary for this position is $74,356.84 as per the Collective Agreement. The Town of Paradise is an Equal Opportunity Employer. If this position interests you, the deadline to apply is August 12, 2025.
