Salary Range: $2,017.00 to $2,818.00 bi-weekly.
Reporting into the Transformation Office, the Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, tracking, and reporting on internal projects. Provides analytical and coordination support across transformation initiatives, including project tracking, reporting, and integration support. Project types may vary in size and complexity. This position will support multiple partners but be based in our centralized Transformation Office. The role will establish and achieve deliverables and works in conjunction with other support roles to execute project tasks and coordinate deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with staff and/or contractors to deliver successful projects for NBCC on budget and on time.
- Coordinate and communicate project scope of work to stakeholders.
- Development and application of Project Management fundamentals into plan initiatives.
- Provide a point of leadership within special projects based on program needs and required deliverables, tracking and providing updates.
- Coordinate meetings, managing schedules, monitoring budgets, mitigating risk.
- Support and maintain a library of centralized tools used within Projects and Initiatives
- Assist with integration and change impact assessments
- Support project reporting, including data collection and results monitoring
- Maintain, or assist in the creation of project documentation, progress reports, and unit performance reporting
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in related discipline with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Project Management experience in a related discipline.
- Strong interpersonal skills required to work effectively with staff, students, and external partners/clients.
- Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking are required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills including strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Experience in an academic environment (service industry or government) would be considered an asset.
Technical Skills:
- Apply project management or change management fundamentals into planning, readiness, and coordination.
- Recognize and adapt to varying levels of project management understanding, and growing culture using PMO disciplines.
Professional Skills:
- Self-driven, ability to take initiative and work independently to organize and prioritize activities and tasks.
- Ability to use sound judgement and make recommendations to management and partners.
