Service New Brunswick is seeking an energetic and positive individual to join the Property Assessment Services (PAS) Branch as a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist who is a subject matter expert that supports and encourages quality assurance as part of the culture of Property Assessment Services.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will support and promote a Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement program that not only safeguards service quality and ensures that property assessments are consistent with industry standards and compliant with applicable legislation, policies and procedures but also supports a culture of quality.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support and promote the PAS Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement program
  • Contribute to the implementation of PAS quality management standards to ensure standardized approach to the documentation and processes
  • Conduct process audits using defined processes, including audit risk assessment, planning, testing, issue identification and evaluation and reporting
  • Assess quality of property assessment processes to ensure risks are mitigated and are effectively carried out to ensure standards are met
  • Support the development and implementation of a compliance reporting system and investigate reports of service issues to ensure resolution is in accordance with legislation and internal guiding documents
  • Monitor PAS Quality Control process
  • Advise on quality measures, risks and controls and the efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of the process design
  • Provide input on the process development, internal controls, PAS policies and procedures, systems and tools
  • Participate in projects and assignments that support continued improvement of the quality system

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A university degree in Business Administration or a related field, and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in quality assurance field and/or auditing. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001:2015), document control, and document management.

Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

The position requires written and spoken competence in English. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have one or more of the following areas:

  • Process Improvement
  • Professional certification, such as ISO, CPA, IIA, Six Sigma

Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position may be required to travel on occasion within the province to regional offices; candidates must possess a valid driver's license.
  • There may be occasional weekday evenings or weekend work hours, or times when this position must be accessible outside of normal work hours.
  • Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment

Salary: $65,936 - $92,092 annually – Pay Band 5 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
